Tuesday, we delved into why young black men must BELIEVE in themselves, especially as they grow into adulthood and navigate life's challenges.
We also discussed steps to take to become a learner:
1. Humility- The spirit of learning
2. Reality - The foundation of learning
3. Responsibility - The First Step of Learning
Thursday marked the start of our financial literacy curriculum, where we addressed the financial inequalities within the black community.
We began watching a documentary entitled "Broke," this documentary discusses why a large percentage of professional athletes who earn millions of dollars end up becoming broke and filing for bankruptcy.

We concluded after watching the first half of the documentary that to avoid or limit a long duration of financial disparity, we must, as black men, become:
1. Financially comprehensive
2. Financially Disciplined
Our goal with our financial literacy curriculum is to inspire and empower our young men to self-educate themselves in how money works and know that a large amount of money will most likely not fall in their lap.
